PERSONALITY
Kazran is a very organized, collected sort of person. She's always valued order in the chaos that is her life, and she's become exceptionally talented at shutting out those that screw with the established routine that she's erected around herself. The woman is a creature of factual reality and reason, and it has never boded well with her that things outside the norm of humanity exist, and that she just happens to be one of them. When her psychic abilities started to develop, Kazran did her very best to ignore them completely. She would rather pretend that nothing was different or odd about her rather than admit to the fact that she wasn't a normal human being like the mother she so idolized and the rest of her perfect human family.
It took her several tumultuous years before she finally realized that she could use her abilities for good and still retain a semi-normal life. After a somewhat normal high school experience, Kazran went on to college and then med school. She'd always been a bright woman who valued the sanctity of life, and with a father who was the Angel of Mercy, what better profession could she have chosen?
HISTORY
Kazran K Corsaire was born on December 21st, 1980 to one Marina Anne Corsaire in Nottingham, England. Kazran's father was absent through her childhood, and even though she prodded her mother to give her any semblance of an idea of who he was or why he wasn't in their lives anymore, Marina was completely mum on the subject. Even without her father around, Kazran had a happy childhood, with a loving mother, and they had a positively perfect house right out of a fairy tale. It wasn't until Kazran was 14 that she began to realize that she wasn't like her friends or ever her mother, she began to realize that she was something different. Her psychic abilities began to manifest and when she went to her mother about it, Marina told her that she must never use them, and they began to pack without another word.
They left England the next day and traveled through Europe, without Kazran having any idea of what or who they were running from. Marina wouldn't tell her anything, so all she could do was follow her mother and stay out of trouble. They hopped around Europe for several weeks, staying in back alley places, never using their real names before making one final leap over to America where they finally settled down in Washington. Life continued on as normally as it could with their circumstances, and Kazran went on to finish her primary schooling, and got accepted with flying colors to Washington State University for pre-med. She had a normal college experience--for the most part, at least--it was at WSU that she realized the full potential of her gifts and began down the rocky road of honing them. When she finished her BA, she moved cross country--against her mother's pleading to stay close--to Johns Hopkins, where she finished her medical training, passed all of her qualifying tests, and went on to complete her residency. It was during that time when Kazran finally met her father, the angel Zadkiel. He came to her one night while she was walking home to her apartment, and told her exactly where she'd come from, and what she was. It was the first time Kazran had ever heard the term Nephilim.
That night was full of revelations for the young woman, and it changed her entire life. Her father told her about the oncoming storm between the angels and demons, the vampires and the lycans, and told her that she was a rare commodity that both sides of both warring groups would be eager to get their hands on. Zadkiel told her to never tell anyone about her secret, and that he would be keeping an eye--he said that he'd be watching out for her is she ever needed help. After Kazran finished her residency, she moved back to Washington. During her absence, Marina had gotten married to a man named Henry Delaney, who was a nice enough guy. Henry had a son named Marshall from a previous marriage who was a little younger than Kazran, and they got along well enough. Kazran got a small time job working as a family physician, but it's not what she really wanted to do. She'd trained to be a neurosurgeon, but there wasn't a big market for her specialty in the small town she'd grown up in. A couple years went by and Kazran finally gets a job at one of the best hospitals in Sand Diego, California. She packed up her bags and moved, hoping to start fresh.
